ALLEGED BREACH OF THE LICENSING ACT.
At the Ashburton Magistrate's Court yesterday Albert Whitaker, who .was represented by Mr Purnell, was charged on the information of the police with keeping liquor for sale m the No-license district of Ashburton, and also with selling liquor without being licensed tto do so. It was jfceged m the information that the offerees were committed on May 22. On the application of Mr Purnell, an adjournment was granted to Friday, Juno 11.
