WELLINGTON v. WANGANUI.
WELLINGTON, June 3. The first interprovincial football match of the season, Wellington against Wanganui, took place at Athletic Park to-day and attracted a large crowd of spectators. The first half of the game was very interesting and close, ending m favour of Wellington by six points to three. The second half, however, was exceedingly dreary, play being confined wholly to Wanganui's half. The home team ran up, twentytwo points m this spell, eventually winning by twenty-eight points' to three.
