THE FORREST HILL.
AUCKLAND, March 2. Captain Collins, master of the Forrest Hill, states- that the ship struck the beach about 20 miles below Cape Maria about 10 o'clock on_ Saturday morning, and is likely to become a total wreck. All hands got ashore on Monday, after which the ship listed heavily seaward. At 3 p.m. the seas were sweeping clean over her, at times halfway up the mainmast: Her back appears to be broken. Small quantities of wreckage have been washed up on the beach. The crew- have been treated with every hospitality by the residents.
