ROYAL WELSH MALE CHOIR.

TO VISIT ASHBURTON. Many persons will be gratified to learn that Messrs J. and N. Tait intend bringing the celebrated Welsh choristers to Ashburton on Tuesday, March 16. when they will appear at the Oddfellows' HalL The Royal Welsh Male Choir is regarded as one of the finest of the kind in Great Britain. The combination was formed about 23 years ago by miners and colliery hands in freorchy and Rhondda Valley in Wales, and since then the members have : won nearly £10,000 worth of prizes etc., and every championship choral nontest of any importance in Great Britain, including the great Llannelly j championship. The conductor is Mr \v. Thomas, who is a potent factor in the magnetic power, and whom authorities regard as the potent factor in the choir's wonderful'success. The Australian tour has, since its inception in Sydney on September 1. been remarkable for its triumphs. The touring manAn absoluted furore was created at every performance.
