Frozen Meat.—The Frozen MeatTrades Association's Smithfield market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are based on actual sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb or 25 carcases of beef of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on the market:—Mutton—New Zealand sheep, crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, Canterbury light, 48-561 b, 3 5-8 d; medium, 56-641 b, 3|d; heavy, 64-721 b, 3jd; Southland, 56-641 b, 3 5-16 d > North Island, 55-651 b, 3Jd; best brands, 3 l-16d. Lamb—Canterbury, light, 28----881 b, sjjd; medium, s|d; heavy, 36----421 b, 4|d; North I*«nd, 28-421 b, 4 115-16 d. Beef—Ox forequarters, 180----2201 b, 2|d; ox-hindquarters, 180-220rff, 3-Jd. Australian mutton—Heavy, 2^d; light, 2|d; lamb—best brands, 4|d ; fair quality, 3|d; inferior quality, 3 7-16 d. Australian beef is unchanged.
