The following is the market report for the week ending Friday, February 26, 1909 : Wheat.—There has been a considerable fall in values, owing to the larger quantity on offer, and the fact that millers' iminpdiato requirements have now her,. A.kd. iVkes, therefore, are rapidij <. back to the parity of the London market, at which it may be safely assumed they will hold firm so long as cable advices continue in the same spirit. There is still some little enquiry for Pearl and Velvet for immediate delivery in prime milling condition, and 3s ?'-Jd to 3s 8d have been obtained for this quality. Prime Hunters are selling at 3s 6£d, and 3s 7d in some instances, and these may be taken as to-day's values for prompt delivery. Fowl wheat is still enouired for at from 3s to 3s 3d, second quality. Oats.—Here, again, the larger offerings have reduced values, and a drop of "a halfpenny to a penny per bushel has taken place. Duns especially are easier, for, whereas Is 3d was easily obtainable a week ago for good uality, merchants are now offering Is 2d. Heavy Gartons are still in demand, but "B" grade has fallen from Is 3Jd to Is 2id and Is 3d.
