WHANGAREI, February 23. At the Police Court, Arthur Edward Sell and Marguerite Sell were charged with committing an aggravated assault on a child named Allen Roger Tnit, son of the female defendant, aged three years and four months. In giving judgment, the Bench aicf that the perpetrators should be flowed till black and blue, but heTid not want to send a young couple to gaol He fined the accused £o each or three months' imprisonment.
