GRAVE CHARGE AGAINST A SOLICITOR.
WELLINGTON, February 22. A motion to make absolute the rule nisi, striking C. E. Harden, solicitor of Palmerston North, off the rolls, was brought before Judge Cooper by the District Law Society to-day. The ground was the alleged misappropriation of £250 of a client's moneys. Harden was charged with misappropriation last September and was .acquitted. It was now decided to leave the matter over for the Court of Appeal, but. Judge Cooper directed that in the meantime Harden should be suspended from practice.
