SUB-DIVISION SALE,
There was a large attendance of farmers and others interested, at the sub-division sale of the Buccleuch Estate, situated near Mount Somers, which was conducted m the Arcade today by Messrs H. Matson and Co., acting m conjunction with the National Mortgage and Agency Company. The land is classed as good grazing country." and is splendidly adapted for growing roots and raising sheep. Competition was very dull, and the prices at which the land was passed m were considerably under the trustees' reserves. The following are the results of the I^ot I—Containingl—Containing about 5,355 acres, on which is erected dwelling house, stables, outbuildings, etc., was started at £4, and passed m at £5 10s.j jO t, 2—Containing about 1349 acres, started at £2 10s, and passed m at £2 15s. „„ n Lot 3— Containing about 3/ acres, ail■joining Mount Somers railway station, started at £8, and was passed m at £8 10s.
