Captain Edwin telegraphs as follows : Moderate to strong northerly winds; glass fall. At the Ashburton yards to-day, a four-tooth crossbred wether in prime condition brought 31s. Mr Henry Stephenson reports the sale, on account of Mr J. Porter, of five acres, being part Lot 161, Middle road, Allenton, to Mrs Hanks, at £100 per acre. The National Mortgage and Agency Company reports having sold, on account of Mr George Hood, 139 acres, at Rakaia, to Mr W. J. Duncan. While stepping on to a baker's cart yesterday a man named John Pollock fell and broke his collar-bone.
