Heavy rains yesterday and last night made the course a trifle holding foe t^e second day of the Auckland Summer Meet* ing. The weather is bleak and cold, a strong southeast wind blowing over the course, which is drying quickly. The attendance is good for an off day. Results : —
Alexandki Handicap - Beau Beaton 1, Waipuna 2, Avalancho 3. Scratched : Gladstone, Numa, Ailsa, Stvathavon. Time— lmin 313-saees. Dividends, JE2B 4s Gd and £2. Won by a length.
Hurdles.—Dolorea 1, Bellixnn 2, Loch Lomond 3. Lingard was scratched. Wou easily by 20 lengths. Time—3.26. Divs. —£5 13s and 15s 6d.
