Fatal Shooting Accident.

John William Lindsay Davis, aged 17 years, died in the hospital to-day from injuries received on Monday. Ho and a companion named May were rabbit shooting near Waitati. May had his fingers on the hammer of his gun, which was at full cock, when the hammer suddenly slipped, and the shot entered Davis' left leg, behind the knee. He was taken to Waitati and attended to, and then brought to the hospital, where his leg was amputated yesterday, bat he died this afternoon.
