London, Dec. 20 Details of the Keekwanshan fis:ht show that in response to General Samijima'a appeal a battalion of regulars and a battalion of reserves volunteered to advance, dressed in brown, with white and red badges, carryiag their rifles in their right hanc's, and grenades in their left, with a lighted slow match in their belts, in readiness to ignite the grenades. Snven mine explosions sent the brown earth 200 feet in tho air. One hundred and fifty men. advancing by fcwo=) and throes, shuttered in tho holes made by tho shells. They entered the fort in the rear, and repeatedly they charged the Russians. 'I he latter behind a sandbag wall died fighting. Wonderful determination was displayed by the assaiV ant?, »nd indomitable pluck by the wounded, the latter participating in the rushes.
