Honours for Kuropatkin.
How Russia. Treats her Troops.
The Czar has decorated General Kuropatkin, and, in an autograph letter, he also acknowledges his self sacrifice in accepting such a difficult post as Manchuria.
A number of troops marching across Lake Baikal were frozen to death. Thousands, on detraining, were marched all day without food, and spent the night in the open. Some died while marching along the railway.
