Warships Off Vladivostock
Korean Minister Disgraced
Japanese Land at Possiet Bay
Advancing Upon Kirin
Nine foreign warships are reported off Vladivostock.
Yiyongik, the pro-Russian Minister in Korea, has beeD stripped of his offices and banished to Japan.
The Rev. Gillespie, a missionary who has arrived at Niuchwang, reports that the Japanese have landed at Possiet Biy and occupied Hunaku, from which the Russian garrison ha% re fled. The Japanese are advancing upon Kirin. Women and children are fleeing panic stricken. The administration has been removed from Vladivostock to Kharbarovsk.
(Possiec Bay is a few miles soufch-wesfc of Vladivostok, Kirin lying aboub midway between the coast and Harbin or Harping where Admiral Alexieff is reported to have fixed bis headquarters. The fact of the Russian Administration having bean removed Horn Vladivostock to Kharbar 573k, which is about 300 miles further north, just on the Russian-Manchuria border, would seem to indicate that the Russians are badly scared, and it will not be at all surprising to learn that the nine foreign warships off Vladivostock are Japanese vessels advancing to attack the port.)
