British-New Zealand Meat and Produce Company.

The statutory meeting of the BritishNew Zealand Meat and Produce Company, Limited, was held at Christchuroh yesterday. There was a good attendance, Mr H. F. Recce, provisional chairman of directors, presiding. The directors' report was submitted by the Chairman, showing that 15,000 shares m the company had been allotted. The tot^l sum received by the. company to da<e was. .£3>fiG, lls, and th©. payments made .£333 16s sd. The agreements with the owners of the defroster was that they received no. cash, bu,t if the company went iq allotment on 15,000 subscribing .shares they were to receive 3000 fully paid-up shares, and m the same proportion till they receive 15,000, the maximum payable, when the capital of the company reaches £73,000. The promoters* syndicate had also agreed to reduce the num. ber of shaTe.* they vyere to receive for the J2OBO m cash subscribed by th,em on the pre^ sent allotment to 3000 paid-up shares instead of 500, as originally agreed, the balance being deferred until the capital of the company reached £80,000. By the lapsing , of the agreement with rogard to JJJesars i Powell and Co, London, the company i saved 5000 shares, It was proposed to ; offer shares to tho British public after, the company had demonstrated to them the i> class of business it intended to, codduot.— : The report was adopted,.
