This morning the Chief Justice allowed costs m the first mentioned case m a lump sum of .£SO to the mortgagees, with all disbursements, and m the other £70 each to the mortgagees and the Land and Loan Company. Other cases have been removed into the Court of Appeal for judgment, and will come up at the approaching sitting Private cable advices received here show that a privately convened meeting of the English shareholders of the Manawatu Railway Company was held m London on Tuesday last for the purpose of passing a resolution instructing the Directors to accept 30s per share from the New Zealand Government for the Company's line.
