FIGHTING IN THE PIQUETBERG DISTRICT.

Fighting occurred in the TwentyFour Streams and Piquetberg district;.* on tho 16th. Five British wero killed, including a captain of the 16th Lancers,
A late message states that the raiders attacked-the district troops at Piquetberg. Lieutenant Colonel Wyndham sent two squadrons of Lancers to assist the defenders, and compelled the Boers io retire with five casualties.
