HOSPITAL BOARD

A meeting of the Hospital Board was hell thiH morning. Present Messrs E. G Wr ght (ohakman), II Friedlandt-.r, J Divisor, J Lambie, M cititt, I) Thomas, J Johnbtone, C J Harper, GAM Buckley. Apologies for non-attendance wore received from Mr J H Pauling, who said he opposed the notice of motinn tubled by Mr ifri*dlander, and from Mr H M Jon^s, who wa* also opposed to the motion After a discussion lasting near'y an hour, the motion was pat u»4 carried, Means Friedlander, Daviaon, Buckley, Stitt oni Harper voting for, and Messrs Johnstonp, Thomae, Lambie, and the chairman against ib.»

The Board adjourned for lunch, and on resuming the following notice ot motion was tabled by Mr Lambie, •* That tha by-laws pushed this day (March 9), providing for the appointment of a house steward and matron io the hospital be rescinded." Members thought it would be a waste of time to con sider ihe bj-'awsundar such circumstances, acd decided to adjourn till Monday, March 19, at 1 p.m.
