ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

EntriM ab the Addington yardt comprised 2000 skrap; about 3000 fats lambs, 8000 store aheep, 433 head of cattle, and 220 pigs. Cattle.—With the exception of a few extra good steers, whioh brought from £8 to £9 be, the 200 head of cattle forming the beef supply were mostly light to handy weights. Competition showed no improvement and last weeks rates were about upheld Good steers brought) £7 to £7 10s, lighter £5 17d6dto £6 10a,,heifers £4 17a 6J to £6 15s, cows £3 15s to £6 10s.

Sheep—A fair yarding of stores met a very poor demand. Fat sheep were a verj mixed lot, containing only at mall proportion of freezing Wethers, whioh sold at from 14c to 16s a few pens of extra heavy and prim* wethers making 16s 6d to 17b 9i ; unfinished wethers dowu to 13s. Any good trade a wet sold well at from 12« to 14s, but too man) ! inferior sorts were in and these sold ut all i prices, from 8s to 11s, several lots being withdrawn. Merino wethers 10a 61 t< 123 B*. The fob lambs were of fairly evei. quality, ihere was a slight improvement itthe demand for frecaera, the bulk of the yarding selling at from 12s to 13s, ruaning from Us 9d to 13s 7d, while lighter sorts for butchers purposes sold down to 10a 9d. The continued dry weather and the close approach of several large sales in the country made' buyers for store sheep rather chary. Most of the best lines did not reach owner's reserves -aad a considerable drop took place in inferioi sheep of all classes. Forward wethers were withdrawn at 12s 9d to 12a lid, and none but the inferior Chatham Islanders were sold ab prices ranging from 7s lid to 10a 4i. Mixed two-tooths of fair quality were passed at 12s 8d to 13s 3d. Two-tooth breeding ewes br. ught 12a, four and six-tooth breeding ewes 13a to l4i 6d, six and eight-tooth breeding ewes 10a 3d Co 10a 10J, and aged *nd inferior 7a 7d to 9s 6d. A line of 1000, good jouug ewes were passed at 12j lOd, Forward r«pe lambs 9a-lid to 10s 91, medium j rape lambs 8a to 9a 9d, backward and weedy ' sorts 6a 61 bo Bs.
