Christchurch, March 15 At the Addington market to-day, 2858 fab sheep, 2012 fat lambs, 8754 store cheep, 428 head of cattle, and 510 pigs were yarded* Cattle."—The 156 head of fab cattle included a few heavy weights from the North Island, which sold from £7 10a to £8 55. Beef was slightly brisker, without change m values, good to prime local steera £6 to £7 17a 6d, others down to £410s, heifers £4 to £6, and cows, £3 10a to £5 10a, good young stores sold well, a good many going to the West Ooaßfcj Fat Fhkeb.—Prime fat sheep and freezing sorts sold wall, and butchers' ewes showed a distinct rise for the better classee* Prime heavy weight wethers 15s to 15s 7d, freezers 12s 6d to 14s 6d, lighter sorts lie 6d to 13s 3d, prime trade ewes 10s bo 13s, medium 8a to 9s 6d, inferior 6s to 7s 6d The bulk of the fat lambs was notup to freezing sbandard, and though prices are lower there is no drop m values* A few prime broughb up to 13s 6d, freezing 9a 6d to lls Id. Stqre Shee?—The store sheep, with the exception of a few big lines of breeding ewes, were mostly m small lots* Turnip sheep about held bheir own, bub ewes were easier. Forward wethera 10s to lls 8d; backward sorts down to 8s ; mixed two-tooths 9a 4d; two-tooth ewes 9a 4d j two and four-tooth 8s to 7s lid ; two, four, and six-tooth 9s; four and six-tooth 8i 3d ; four, Bixand eightbooth 8s Id; sound mouthed 6s 3d to 7a 3d ; lambs 5s to 8a 7d •, sound mouthed merino ewes 6s 6d. Pigs—Pigs were decidedly easier, owing to continued importations from the North Island, and a drop of 5s per head took place m Btores, while baconera and porkers ranged from 3£d to s|d per 1b;
