A number of forged notes on the Banks of New South Wales and Australasia, excellently reproduced by photography, haye been in peculation. The police have effected the arrest of three in«n and seized the photographic apparatus and r^egative^ of tlje cotes forged. Drought in Queensland. Brisbane, September 10 A bad state of affairs is reported from Warrego country. The fine rains of August did not reach there, and the young grass started by the June rains has been destroyed. Stock are dying on almost every holding in the district. It is the worst season ever known at Warrego.
