Shanghai, October 26 The Japanese force which has landed at Seikioso or Liaston menace Port Arthur. Sixteen hundred Japanese on Wednesday crossed the Yalu river, and occupied a Chinese fort, expelling a small garrison, twenty of whom were killed. The main body intended to cross the river yesterday, and attack the Chinese army before Sunday. China has issued a loan, payable m silver, of a million and a half. It wi! be floated m London with a minimum of par, at the value of seven per cent. Ir» the fight on the Yalu river, the Chinese had two hundred killed. The Japanese lost m killed and wounded five officers and ninety men. It is reported that on Thursday the Japanese routed a body of three thousand iive I hundred Chinese north of Yalu. The main body of the Japanese army succeeded m crossing the Yalu river on Wednesday night. The Chinese are entrenched at Kulienchan.
