COLDSTREAM.

A meeting of the Coldstream Road Board was held on Thursday. Present— Messrs Dobson (chairman), McKeage, and Withell, CORRESPONDENCE. Correspondence was read from the Lands and Survey Department, forwarding copy of a proclamation, allocating land resorved for railways to the purposes of a road in the Coldstream district. From the came in reference to moneys paid to the Board as thirds. From the Land and Income Tax Department, advising payment of £25 3s sd, balance of subsidy for 1892 3. BOUNDARY HOAD. The Longbeach Road Board wrote suggesting that the ratepayers of boch districts interested in having the Windermere road improved should be asked if they are willing to have a special rate levied for the purpose. The Clerk was instructed to reply that the proposals of the Longbeach Board were altogether beside the question, and that this Board must itsist on the work being done. WATER RACE. Mr Thompson McKay applied for permission to carry a private water race across a road. It was resolved to grant the request subject to Mr McKay putting in necessary fords at his own expense, and subject to the approval of the surveyor, and in accordance with specifications to be (Lawn by that officer-Mr McKay to take all responsibility as to accidents arising from neglect or damage done by overflow or otherwise to the roads or private propaity. * SURVEYORS KEPOKT. On considerations of this report it was resolved that the rut filJine on Coldstream road be completed throughout, the water race at Pye't) corner confined to the road, , the approaches and sheathing of the i bridges on Surveyor's road repaired, and j not more than twenty-five yards of shingle put on fcho Boundary road near Mr Ellis's, FINANCIAL. The clerk was directed to supply certain information required by Iha Union Bank. After passing accounts amounting to £57 1&3 41, the Board adjourned.
