Christchurcb, August 14, The criminal session of the Supreme. Court was opened by Judge Beijnisfon this morning. His Honor briefly addressed the jury, pointing out that al : though a considerable number of cases were set down tor trial, fcher* wa? only one offence against the person, the remainder were against property and were of an ordinary character.
