Tinwald Town Board.
I The monthly meeting ot the Tinwald Town Board was held on Fiiday, April 28. Present—Messrs" M. Redmaynw (chairman), T. Williams, J. Gudsell, and ■T. Stone. VALUATION ROLL, Requests from Mrs Smith and Clark, and Messrs Jacombs, New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, to have properties transferred on the valuation roll were granted. POSTAL. It was resolved that application be made to the Chief-Postmaster with a view to obtaining a telegram and postal delivery, a'so to have a pillar box erected afe the junction of Carter's Terrace and the South Road. TENDERS. Mr P. Clifford's tender was accepted for the delivery of 500 yards ot shingle at Is 2d per yard. DEDICATION OF SOOTH ROAD. x It was resolved to enter a formal protest against the Railway Commissioners' claim to a portion of the road between Lagrahor road and R.S. 17076, and draw the Commissioners attention to original Crown grants. v DOG TAX, ETC., The Clerks were instructed to furnish statement of amount collected and names of persons who had paid registration fees, A long discussion ensued relating to matters appertaining to the opening up and improvement of the district, and the meeting adjourned.
