Wellington, April 29. The Governor has received the following cable message from Lord Ripon, Secretary of Sta^e for the Colonies :—"Regret learn death Ballance." Wbljjnoton, May 1. References were made from the pulpit in a number of the Churches yesterday to the death of the Premier. The Trades and Labour Council has called a special meeting to consider the question of raising subscriptions for a memorial to Mr Ballance. Palmeeston Nokth, April 30. The Rev L. M.
