ArcKLAND, September 1. Mr J. R. Cox, M.P. for Ease Clare m the House of Commons, and Irish delegate to the colonies to collect funds for the Home Rule cause, arrived to-day by the Wairarapa from Sydney. At; the Magistrate's Court Mrs Harding was fined £25 and costs or a month's imprisonment for sly grog selling at the Temperance refreshment rooms m Manners street. A second charge was withdrawn. Notice of appeal was given. Afc noon to-day the dead body of a man named John Ford was discovered hanging by the neck. The deceased was a fish hawker, sixty years of age, and resided m Parnell.
