SOLDIERS' DEATHS
Advice has been received from the Commandant, Narrow Neck Camp, Devonport, Auckland, that 84489 Private Tonuia, of the Gilbert Islands Contin- | gent, died there on sth November, cause of death being influenza.' His next-of-kin is Tanftne (mother), Nonmea. Other soldiers whose deaths are reported from the same camp are :— 84750 Private T. Oneroa, 2nd November. Next-of-kin. Wihono Ttoro (brother), Kerepeebi, Thames. 84774 Private W. Tapsell. 4th November. Next of kin, Kin Tapaell (father), Maketu,. Bay of Plenty. 84733 Private Te R. Pukere, 4th November. Next-of-kin, Doris Pukere (wife), Urenui, Waitara. I Advice has been received from the Featherston Military Camp that 90747 Private Thomae Cannell Cowley, E Campany, Cl, died at the Grey town Hospital at noon on 6th November. Cause of death, Typhoid. His next-of-kin is Mrs. N. Cowley (wife), Waiuku, Auckland. 79034 Gunner Henry Wilfred Greenroyce Doig, of the 46th Artillery, died j at the Victoria Military Hospital, Wellington, on 7th November. He was a married man, and 25 years of age. His next-of-kin is Mrs.. R. E. Doig (wife), care of Mrs. D. Gibson, 142, Aro-etreet, Wellington. The cause of death was influenza. ; Gunner J. E. F. Buckland, 46th Artillery, died at Featherston Camp Hocpital at 4 a.m. yesterday from influenza. His next-of-kin is his wife, Mrs. Ellen Buckland, 8, Cooper-street, Arch Hill, Auckland. He was 41 years of age. Advice hae been reasiyed from Auckland Defence Office that 26/594 Frank Ernest Morris died on 7th November. Deceased wae an undischarged soldier. His next-of-kin is his mother, Mrs. M. J: Morris, Talbot-street, East Gore. He was 24 years of age. The same office reports that 4/896 William Henry Day, a returned discharged soldier, died at Auckland on the sth November, 1918. Deceased .was 25 years of age, and single. His Krwct-of-kin was Miss Minnie Day, 42, Haw-er-street, Wellington. Also that 2/1516 a Gunner R. Harris died at the Rotorua Military Hospital on the 6th instant. Deceased was a returned discharged soldier, 24 years of age, and single. His next-of-kin was his father, J. G. Harris, Raetihi, King Country.
