BRITISH SAILORS’ SOCIETY
The Lyall Bay Baptist Young people were in charge of all weekend arrangements at the British Sailors’ Society. They conducted the Saturday night social, when many’ soldiers and airmen were among, those entertained. There was’ a good number’ ■ present for . 'Sunday tea, which was followed by a singsong and an address by: Air. E. H. Willis. The ladies’ guild is to . hold a shop day in the rooms on Friday, when a 'feature of the goods for sale will be a plentiful supply of fresh vegetables from the country. These will be sold at reasonable prices.
