Entertained By Club At Lower Hutt
Quartermaster /Sergeant Mervyn Mitchell, Lower Hutt, and Private lan 'hessori, Petone, who wi'l serve in the forces overseas, were honoured by the Clarion Club recently at a social held in Lower Hutt. As Private Chesson was unable to lie present,/ho was represented by his mother. BoD men teceiv.ed Eversharp pencils, preanted by Mrs Webster, wife of tin-' resident of the club. Quartermaster sergeant Mitchell acknowledged the -ifts and good wishes on behalf of Private Chesson and himself. Mrs. Mitchell and . Mrs. -Chesson mothers of the guests, were presented vith posies. During the evenin'? Mrs Coakley and Quartermaster Sergeant Mlt'-liell sang, accompanied Dy Mr t Mann. A home-made supper was served by committee members. Mt Mann placed for dancing. *
