WEBBY’S CLUB
The bright rooms of Webby’s Club were crowded with men of the Forces at the weekend. Members received a pleasant surprise on . Friday night when a visitor to the club handed them a substantial cheque. Another wellwisher donated a large side of lamb, already cooked, for Sunday’s tea, and thanks are extended to botn these donors.
Donations of hampers have been promised by a group of Taibape visitors who called at the club on Friday night and were greatly impressed with the work the members are doing;
Men of the Merchant Navy were guests at the weekend and helped the girls at tea time on Sunday.
