INSTRUCTORS’SCHOOL TRANSFER TO TAURANGA NEW DEVELOPMENT The Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) announced recently that authority had been given by the Government for the construction of a flying instructors’ school at Tauranga. ’ Work will proceed at once, and when it is completed the instructional work now going on at Hobsonville, Auckland, will be transferred to Tauranga. There is an excellent aerodrome at Tauranga, stated Mr. Jones, and much assistance was given by the Borough Council in connection with its establishment. The constructional work was done by the Public Works Department. “The training of more flying instructors for the R.N.Z.A.F.,” adI ded the Minister, “will enable more of the present instructors to be released for service overseas.”
