APPOINTMENTS TO AND PROMOTIONS IN THE SECOND NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
STAFF
2nd Lieutenant A. B. Watt, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is appointed Transport Officer, Waiouru Military Camp (temp.). N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF Lieutenant G. P. Leane, M.C., to be Captain. 2nd Lieutenant E. King to be Lieuten- , ant, and is granted the 'acting rank of Captain. Lieutenant D. W. Curham, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Company Commander, 11th Company, National Military Reserve, Wanganui, is appointed Assistant Area Officer, Area 6, Wanganui, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. 2nd Lieutenant S. C. Hay to be Lieutenant. John Wesley Loper (ex Royal N.Z. Artillery) to be .Lieutenant, and is appointed Instructor, Artillery Training Regiment, Mobilisation Camp, Papakura. ARTILLERY, v Frederick Fieldsend (late Royal N.Z. Artillery), to be Lieutenant (temp.) and is posted to the 9th Heavy
Regiment.

Swan relinquishes command of the Ist Composite Company, and the temporary rank of Major, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) M. B. M. Tweed, M.R.C.S., Eng., L.R.C.P., Lond., to be LieutenantColonel. Major W. J. Hope-Robertson, M. 8., Ch.B., ' F.R.A.C.S., seconded to the Royal N.Z. Air Force, is appointed Consultant Specialist to the Royal N.Z. Air Force, is granted the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and remains seconded. ,J Lieutenant E. N. S. D’Arcy, M. 8., Ch.B., attached to the Ist Battalion, The Hauraki Regiment, to be Captain. N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT The Rev. William Edward Ryan to be Chaplain, 4th Class (Roman Catholic), Area 4.
