There are some malcontents who have moaned about this tardy, mysterious war. May we remind them what the Navy and her auxiliaries have done and are doing? . / '■ ' —. Within a hundred days forty U-boats were sunk. It is impossible to praise too highly the skill of the men doing this dangerous work. All honour and gratitude to those who are hunting the U-boats and taking the “sting” out of the mines. Silent and anonymous heroes of the destroyers and minesweepers, they have already contributed a substantial part to victory;
