Six Generations Fight For Britain In the second echelon is Sergeant T. M. McKoy, AVhangarei; who represents the sixth generation of McKoys,' in an unbroken line, to have fought for. Britain. His father, Mr. G. McKoy, served with the Wellington Battalion in the last war, while his grandfather served in the Maori war. having settled in Taranaki on his retirement from the regular army. The family has in its possession 48 medals won on active service by members of the family in all parts of the Empire. One is a Waterloo decoration won by a McKoy of the Royal Horse Guarcis. Other medals include the Crimea, Indian Mutiny and Boer War, as well as minor campaigns in which • the Empire has been engaged during the past century and more. The present Sergeant McKoy is a well-known sportsman.’ While, attending the Auckland Training College he won representative honours in hockey and boxing. •
