SENIOR CHAPLAIN TO FORCES
Bishop Gerard To Leave With Third Echelon It- was announced at the meeting of the general synod that the Bishop of Waiapu, lit. Rev. G. V. Gerard, had accepted an appointment as senior chaplain of the New Zealand Forces. He will go overseas with tinThird Echelon. Archdeacon Hawkins was appointed senior chaplain in the province during Bishop Gerard’s absence.
