Resolutions, grouped under two headings, to be put forward in connection with the celebrations of 19th Sept, next. EQUAL RIGHTS OF CITIZENSHIP. That practical recognition be gi\en to the principle of equality of citizenship, politically, economically and socially, as between men and women, i.e.— Politically —That iti all walks of life opportunities, rights and responsibilities as between the sexes should be equal (women on juries and on all l>oards and commissions set up by the State or local authorities to be on the same terms as men). That the residential qualifications for local body elections be the same in the country as in the town. Economically —That all positions and salaries in every trade and protession, whether prixate or public, should be open equally to women as to men and that all promotions be made on a qualification basis without regard to sex. That motherhood he endowed. Socially —That a woman should have the same right as a man to retain or change her nationality. EDUCATION That the Education system be revised so that it is no longer dominated by materialistic, utilitarian ideas in a competitive society, but becomes the dvnamic of a co-operative society planned to foster intelligent goodwill. That the Education grant be at all times so generous that it may be possible for the best and most modern ideas on Education —from nursery school to the University, and from backblocks to the largest city—to he put into practice. That the school leaving age be raised to 16, and the law he rigorously enforced.
