PEACE RADIATIONS.

The future of the nations turns upon their state of mind. It was their bad state of mind that pitched them into the hell-tire of the Great War. The only cause of war is the strong delusion that the interests of a nation or group of nations are opposed to those of another nation or group. This is but the international form of the delusion which divides people Into classes, and creates the class-war and the exploitation of the helpless by the strong.

So international conference will be fully successful in peace making and peace-establishing that is not coinmissioned to express a new thought and sentiment which is assert ing itself in the mind and heart of the nations represented. In democracies it is the average mentality of the citizens that gets itself expressed and embodied and acted out. A new thought and sentiment, to he effective in collective action, must have entered into the consciousness, not only o? a few progressive pioneers, but also, at length, of the average men and women of the nation.

Any little share any of us are privileged to have in the healing of the nations, must begin by our consenting that the divisive delusion shall be cast out of our minds, conscious or sub-conscious. The “Old man' the separatist, the mischief-maker must be put off; in oiler that the “new man” —the peace-maker—the uniter —the Christ in us the One Divine Humanity- may bn our very Self and Life and Power. There is something that every regenerate soul can do for tile peace of the world —something that no Government in London, or Paris, or any other capital, can hinder. It is an activity in the spiritual realm of causation. It is to receive and radiate the peace of the Eternal LoveCentre. “There shall he an end of war: there shall be human fellowship between nations and within them;" — such is the cosmic purpose and prophecy which everyone who believes in the omnipotence of good should be pressing, every day. upon his own soul and upon every other soul within the unity of the evolving human race. —From the Watch-Tower of “Brotherhood."
