Appointed to draw up a Syllabus of Examination For the Training of Organisers. We have the honour to present the following report on the Syllabus of Examination for the Framing of Organisers. We suggest that the ex animation should be divided into two sections, A and B. SECTION A. The following shall be the subjc< ts of examination for Section A : (1) English equivalent to and on the lines of the Public Service Enframe Examination. (2) Constitution, B\ I.aws, anti Departments ot Work of the N.Z. W.C.T.U. (;) “Alcohol and tho Human Body,” by Sir Victor Horsley and Dr. Mary St urge. v 4) History and Present Position of the Prohibition Movement in N.Z. (5) Voce t’rodu* tion and F.locution regards Public Speaking. SECTION B. The following shall be the subjects of examination for Section B: — (1) Elemental v Civit s. (_’) Rules of Debate and Pailiamcntary Procedure. ( ;) Economic Aspects of the I >1 ink (Question: (.1) Alcohol and the Re venue), (b) Alcohol and National Efficiency, (c) Alcohol and the Social Evil (4) General Knowledge of the PlO giess of Prohibition in other lands, and more detailed knowledge of the position in Australasia outside* of New Zealand. (5) Voice Production and I*.locution (more advanced course). REGULATIONS. 1. Candidates must have passed the Sixth Standard, or an equivalent cx-

animation, and may sit for the fust section (A) any time after the* <<>lll plot ion of six months’ training. 2. Candidates who have passed the Matriculation or the Public Service Entrance Examination will not be required to pass in English, and may take the remaining subjects of Section A after three months’ training. 3. After passing Section A, candi dates must complete a further six months’ training before sitting for Section B. N.B. — It is suggested that it may be found advisable at some future time to add to this Syllabus a Third Section C, including such subjects as a more detailed knowledge of the Purity Question, L.T.L. and Y work, I.aws affecting Women and Children in New Zealand.
