OBITUARY.
It is our sad duty to record that Mrs David Ruddock has passed from this life. She has gone to a higher life. i She was a daughter of the Rev. Vicesimus Lush, and was born near Auckland, at Howick, m 1857. Strength of personality showed throughout her life with the holy -virtue of joy. She passed the First Grade of the Board of Theological Studies m its first year. Even as a girl of about twelve she could count on the friendship of Bishop Patteson value his sweet smile. As a Sunday School teacher and parish worker at the Thames she awoke respect and affection, still alive among some of her pupils and friends left from those
days. Married to the Rev. David Ruddock at Bishopscourt Chapel by Bishop Cowie, they worked afterwards m Sydney, m Brisbane, m Rockhampton and m England, and m each case her talent for making friends and securing their ioyal love was of value to many, "then later m Hawke's Bay she was so much loved that one resident there states she was known as "the Angel of Hawke's Bay." She had the sorrow of losing both her sons m the Great War, but she has left behind her a sweet memory of sympathy to others and love from all who knew her.
