WOODVILLE.

. The parish of Wood ville has lost by death one of its staunchest workers, supporters and members m the person of the wife of Dr. Mules. 'Mrs. Mules, a regular communicant, among her records had managed the fancy work stall at the annual Sale of Work for 28 years, always with a happy band of keen workers to assist Tier; indeed, her very last public appearance was at the last ladies' guild meeting after the 1936 bazaar, where she was the brightest and "kindest of those present who were "being thanked by the Vicar and Churchwarden Giles on their record success, and at which meeting the Ladies' Guild voted £105 to the Vestry for current expenses. The Vicar and Mrs. Davidson have lost, a very true and dear fried, the Church a loyal member, and the community a wonderful example of Christian charity and goodness. The crowded Church at the early service at eight o'clock m the morning was indeed a tribute, and would doubtless bring comfort and hope to the husband, two sons and three daughters, as well as to the aged parents and other friends and relations. At the memorial service on Sunday the Vicar dwelt on the great truth of the Church — Militant, Expectant and Triumphant— and on the words from the Te Deum which make such a splendid Christian prayer which all might offer repeatedly for Emily Mules, as well as for others whom they ought to remember before God, "That they may be numbered with Thy saints m Glory Everlasting. Another Church family has left the district, Mr Noble having gone to Pahiatua. The Ladies' Guild gave an afternoon party and presentation to Mrs. Noble, who had been a regular communicant with her daughters, and she had been a splendid worker m the Ladies' Guild of Holy Trinity for some years.
