MISSIONARY QUOTAS.
Last Synod decided that the financial year of the parish should end on the same day as the missionary year, namely, June 30. It is earnestly hoped that this will not be allowed to interfere with the usual effort m June to meet the parish missionary quota. The financial depression has very seriously affected the missionary work of the Church of New Zealand, and unless more support is forthcoming it must be much further curtailed. Are we going to allow missionaries to be recalled home and much establish-
ed work to be dropped? Please pray this may not have to happen, and do what you can to help your parish to do its full share. Make the most of the W,hitsunday offerings for Melanesia, and remember that the missionaries there have willingly accepted substantial cuts m their meagre pay, and some of the native workers take nothing at all. The following is a list of the parishes with the amount of their quotas and the amount so far sent m: —
