GENERAL DIOCESAN FUND.

Herewith is a statement showing the fund's position at the end of May. This most assuredly does not represent all the monies that have been raised towards Parish. Quotas during the year. There must be numerous sums, large and small, held by Vestries that ought long ago to have been forwarded. Making allowance for all the excuses that will be offered, the figures below disclose such an urgent state of affairs that Churchwardens are asked to send to the Diocesan Secretary without delay every penny that is due from the Parish to the G.D. Fund. Not only so, but Church people are earnestly asked to make sacrifices m order to maintain their Diocese m a sound financial position. The Organiser, Rev. N. F. Benham, has already visited a considerable number of parishes, and it is our sincere hope and prayer that before June 20th the needs of our Home and Maori work will lead the people who have heard his story to give, even if it hurts.
