Holy Communion is celebrated m the suburban "churches as follows:— St. Paul's, Kaiti, 8.30 a.m., 2nd Sunday m month; St. John's, Mangapapa, 8 a.m.,. 3rd Sunday m month; Church of the Resurrection, Te Hapara, 8 a.m., 4th Sunday m month. !Evensong is held every Sunday at 7 p.m. At the annual meeting of Holy Trinity Ladies' Sewing Guild the following officers were elected:' — President, Mrs H. T. Jones; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Packe, McKinley, McKeague, Miss Booth; committee, Mesdames Fyson, Crawford, Muir, Wallace; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs W. E..Goffe. The Guild meets every Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. and would gladly welcome new members. The funds of- the Guild go towards the Church and Missions. A successful sale of work m connection with' the Guild has been held lately and realised a good sum. The following night a splendid concert, organised by the' Vicar, was given m the Parish Hall by leading local amateurs. This also was under the auspices of the Ladies' Guild, and considerably helped the founds. The Vicar deserves great praise for the manner m which the concert was organised. ■ The usual quarterly Corporate Communion of the Gisborne branch of the Fraternity of the Resurrection was held recently. A fair number attended, Archdeacon Williams being the celebrant.

A Service of Admission for members of the Girls' Club was" held at the end of June, when twelve girls were admitted to membership. The Vicar gave an impressive address to the girls on the "Power of Womanhood." A large number of members attended the service. The weekly Bible class for women, and girls, which is held m the church at 7.15 p.m. on Tuesdays, is_being very well attended and much appreciated. This class, which the Vicar conducts, is open to. all women and girls m the'' parish of 16 years and over.
