A. large number were present, and we were glad to take this opportunity ■of a fully representative gathering to hold the annual parish masting at the • came time, and to give the Bishop : some idea of the working of 1 the Parish. The meeting began with a short musical programme and supper which were much appreciated. This was followed by an account of the year's work by the Vicar, and a statement ■ of the way m which money was coming m for the payments due on the building of the Church by Mr Elli- • son; Mr Tanner then voiced our appreciation of haying this opportunity ■of meeting the Bishop and Mrs Sedgwick and of welcoming them m our midst. Th'e Bishop then replied, making a strong appeal lor the service of men m the Church and pointing out some of the larger needs of -the Diocese. The election of Vestry ■ then took place, resulting m all last year's members being re-elected, Mr "TRush being appointed Vicar'si warden -and Mr Quartley people's warden as "before. Fortn'ghtly meetings of the • C.E..M.S. are now being held, Bible ; study and papers on different Churches and religions, being taken :t alternately. Most of the members also attended the- annual conference s at Napier.

Connrmation classes axe now m full swing both at Havelbck and .Clive. The Confirmation Will be held a* Havelbck an Thursday, August 13th, anid at Clive about the end of September. It is hoped to arrange a welcome for the Bishop at Clive m the Hall after the Confirmation service., The Bishop will also preach at Clife on the first Sunday m September. The following is the statement of accounts for S. Mark's Sunday School for the year, ending June 3oth 19i4- We are badly m need of another teacher.
