Vicar: Mev,ErhV. Jßice, Jlf.i. Previous to the Vicar's marriage last month, he was the recipient of several presentations from different organisations m the parish. Apart from those mentioned last month, the members ,of the . Vestry gave him a "travelling rug and tobacco. . pouch, •and the Gate Pa congregation a travelling clock and a silver toilet ibottle. During the Vicar's absence the ser"vices m town, were taken by Mr .Frank Stevens, and m the country by Mr T. R. Philpotts. The Vicarage is quite finished now •and is much admired ; it is quite a •credit to the parish. On July 13th, the Rev. J. D. Russell, Organising Secretary of the C.E.M.S., paid us a most welcome visit, and spoke to a meeting of ;seventeen men at the Vicarage with :so much success that it was decided to form a branch of the Society here at once. Mr W. H. Grifford was -elected Secretary pro tern. At the last meeting of the Vestry a number offered to fix spouting to the Church, if the parish w.QUId proceed to paint, the Church at once. This nvatter will be considered at the annual meeting which takes place on the 30th.
