The Rev. Pastor Ries, of Dannevirke, who for twenty years has been President of the Convention of the Evangelical I/Utheran Emmanuel Church, has accepted office as Vice-President of the Bible m State Schools' League, the convention of the Church being m full-ac-cord with the League's proposals. This action is an indication that the Xutheran Church, which is numerically one of the small Churches, has no fear that if the League's system is adopted by the people of New Zealand, that Church will suffer by ■ cdmjparison 1 with the numerically larger Churches. Apparently it values [the opportunity of obtaining' the right of visiting^ and^^instructing the Luther ian cfflidfen who 'attend the State Schools. ; h • ■=•!■;
