Prom Police Gazette, 2nd December, 1874. Missing Emends.

Information is particularly requested of the present whereabouts of John Mclntyre, who left Port Adelaide in the steamer Atijeh, on the 22nd August, 1874, under the name of John Mills, in company with a female. Description: A blacksmith, aged about 40 years, 5 feet 9 inches high, pale complexion, brown hair, lump under one eye. It is reported that he has been married to the woman with whom he left either in Melbourne or Sydney. The attention of the Police in the other Colonies is called to this case, as his wife and family are left destitute in Adelaide.

Information is requested respecting William Terry, native of London, a tailor, who left London in 1836 in the ship Queen Adelaide for some one of the Australian Colonies.

Information is requested respecting Mary Simmons nee Pauli, who, with her husband John Simmons, emigrated to some one of the Australian Colonies in 1848. Mary Simmons is a native of Polgooth, Cornwall ; her husband, ohn Simmons, a native of Sticket, Cornwall, a practical miner. He was employed as schoolmaster on his arrival in the Colonies until the time of the Victorian gold diggings, to which place he went. When leaving England they had two children, Stephen and Lydia Simmons, who, if now alive, would be over 30 years of age. The attention of the Police in the neighbouring Colonies is called to these missing friends, as it is uncertain to which Colony they came.
