John Burke perjury, arrested by the Wakatipu Police, has been committed for trial. John Ferguson , has ■ been arrested by the , Tokomairiro Police, and sentenced to 1 month’s imprisonment with hard labour, for larceny. Patrick Condon for a violent assault, arrested by the Tokomairiro Police, has been sentenced to 2 months imprisonment with hard labour. r
Charles Howard , larceny, stealing beef, arrested by the Tokomairiro Police, has been sentenced to 2 months imprisonment with hard labour.
George W. Currier , uttering a valueless check, arrested by Dunedin Detective Police, has been sentenced to 3 months imprisonment with hard labour.
John Willenen , larceny, stealing porter, arrested by Dunedin Detective Police, has
been sentenced to 3 months imprisonment
with hard labour. John Watson , larceny, stealing tea, arrested by Dunedin Police, has been sentenced to 21 days imprisonment with hard labour. John Tudor , larceny, stealing a ham, arrested by Dunedin Police, has been sentenced to 3 months imprisonment with hard labour. Mary Bowie and Patrick Lawler larceny, stealing bacon, arrested by the Dunedin Police, has been sentenced to 7 days imprisonment with hard labour. ■Samuel Jackson , larceny, stealing tea, arrested by the Dunedin Police, has been sentenced to 6 weeks imprisonment with hard labour. William Rendle, vagrancy, exposing obscene prints, arrested by the Dunedin Police, has been sentenced to 4 months imprisonment
with hard labour. John Attis, larceny, arrested by the Port Chalmers Water Police, has been sentenced to 14 days imprisonment with hard labour. W. Sullivan, vagrancy, arrested by the Port Chalmers Water Police, has been sentenced
to 3 months imprisonment with hard labour. William Senior , felony, stealing a quantity of fat, arrested by the Port Chalmers Police, has been committed for trial. Archibald Cameron , rogue and vagabond, having in his possession skeleton keys and other housebreaking implements, arrested by Dunedin Detective Police, has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment with
hard labour. -Thomas Langham and Thomas Robson, arrested by the Oamaru Police, for highway robbery under arms, have been committed for trial.
Henry Stansjield and Henry S. Jones, stealing a firkin of butter, arrested by the Dunedin Police, have been committed for trial. William Tunbridge, embezzlement, arrested by the Dunedin Detective Police, has been committed for trial. George Baxter alias William Hall, a prisoner of the Crown of the Colony of Victoria, illegally at large in the Provinee of Otago, (see Victoria Police Gazette 26th of June, 1862, page 225, and 17th July, 1862, page 252), arrested by the Dunedin Police, has been remanded to Victoria to be dealt with Charles Fife, a prisoner of the Crown of the Colony of Victoria, illegally at large in the Province of Otago, (see Victoria Police Gazette, 21st March, 1861, page 116), has been arrested by the Dunedin Detective . Police, and remanded to Victoria to be dealt with
